Pereybere
Our holiday apartment is located in the coastal village of Pereybere, up in the North of Mauritius, precisely between the villages of Grand Baie and Cap Malheureux. Pereybere was named back in 1845 after a man named Charles Pereybere, who owned land covering 703 acres of the area.
Pereybere Beach is just 2 kilometres North of Grand Baie and the area stands out as one of the best on the island. The beach itself is breathtaking with its clean white sands and clear turquoise water. Rows of Palm trees adorn the entire stretch of the beach that is just 150 metres long, yet considered the best family beach in the whole of Mauritius as the waters are calm, clear and safe for children to swim.
Loved for its beauty, fine sand and transparent water, the area of Pereybere also offers a variety of tropical fruits such as coconuts, pineapples, watermelons, litchis, star fruits and mangoes. Coconut water is an indespensable refreshment for cooling off on the beach!
The village offers a variety of restaurants and the apartment is in close proximity to a Winners Supermarket, for your shopping convenience. The apartment is situated within a small gated complex just 80 metres from the coastline and a stunning private beach. There are also more touristic beaches in the vicinity of Pereybere, such as those of Grand Baie, Pointe aux Canonniers and Mont Choisy.
